How to source the right lighting for your home

If you’re trying to make selections for the lighting in your home or are struggling to give your home some personality, here are my top tips for how to use lighting cohesively and beautifully.

Try to stick to a few different styles for your home and repeat them in different rooms to help make your home feel cohesive. In the Still Studio, I have linen pendants in the dining area and bedroom and leather pendants (both sourced from my shop Imprint House) in the kitchen and bedroom. I’ve used ceramic lights from Epure Ceramique in the hallway, living room and bathroom and Wo & We lights in the living room and above the kitchen shelving. Everything doesn’t match but they feel in harmony because they embrace the same materiality.

Adding fabric pendants to a bedroom to help soften the space or to any room that you want to feel inviting and create more of a cocoon vibe. For this reason, I hung a linen pendant above the dining table and in the bedroom.
