Choosing chairs

SOURCING INSIGHTS

When you are at the start of your design journey, whether it be some small updates around your home or an entire build, you want to stretch your budget as far as possible. One of the best ways to do this is to buy furniture that is multifunctional and versatile, particularly when it comes to chairs. These are a piece you can easily move around your home from room to room and something you can keep using for years to come, no matter what the space.

Try and select chairs that have a timeless aesthetic so that regardless of whether they are in the lounge room, bedroom or office, they will suit the space. It’s great if they can work outside too for a covered deck or patio. More simple designs tend to suit a larger variety of spaces and sourcing pieces like this means if you don’t love them in one room, you can transition them to another seamlessly. Don’t forget, if you want to mix things up, you can style them with different textiles like throws and pillows to give them a fresh look.

My top picks -
1. Tripolina chair
2. Malawi cane chair
3. Hemp linen lounge chair
